A very personal tour...
Your guide Peter Hall is an experienced wildlife watcher of more years than he cares to remember! Peter will take you out on a very personal tour (we carry no more than 4 people) to see the island’s spectacular scenery and fascinating wildlife. The day starts around 10/10.30am usually from Craignure Ferry Terminal although we will collect from Fishnish Ferry Terminal if this is where your ferry arrives. If you are in a car there is a large free car park at Craignure or if you are on a bus or a foot passenger we park at the end of the bus lanes.
Peter's experience has recently been extended to the film industry with a very special week spent as a wildlife advisor during location filming on the island.
Eagles, Buzzards, Seals and Otters
On a typical day we are likely to see White Tailed Sea Eagle, Golden Eagle, Hen Harrier, Buzzards, Divers and many others, normally 40 to 50 species of birds. Mammals include Red Deer, Common Seals, Atlantic Grey Seals, Otters, possible Porpoises and Dolphins and even occasional Mink! Nothing of course is guaranteed. During the day, we stop for tea and coffee breaks and a first class packed lunch is provided.
Binoculars and telescope
We carry binoculars for your use and an excellent telescope. We also carry an assortment of bird reference books and wildflower books. At the end of the day, we will get you back in time for your ferry or simply back to Craignure.
The cost for the trip
The cost for the trip is £75 per person and this is fully inclusive. If you prefer to be on your own we can tailor make an exclusive tour just for you. We find that this suits a lot of photographers as we can stop anywhere at their convenience.
